Consistency matters, but good systems also leave room for hierarchy, tone, and context.

Component libraries solve repetition. They do not solve taste.

Strong design systems help teams move faster, but they work best when someone is also paying attention to pacing, hierarchy, readability, and the emotional tone of a screen. Systems create the floor. Editorial judgment creates the difference between usable and memorable.
